Personal Counseling
 

Personal counseling is available to Rock Valley College students who  are seeking help with issues that are more personal in nature. These may include help dealing with life situations, anxiety, self-esteem, or even help honing problem solving or decision making skills. Additionally, Rock Valley's personal counselors can provide crisis counseling and referrals to community and private mental health agencies.  Personal and Success counseling is housed on the second floor of the Student Center.
 

Disability Support Services
 

Rock Valley College is committed to helping all students realize their educational goals.  If you are a student with a disability who may require assistance in accessing any of the college's programs or services, please contact the Disability Support Services office to discuss potential barriers and possible solutions. The DSS office serves as a resource for faculty and staff on campus and can provide guidance and consultation on issues that pertain to ensuring equal educational access.  We are happy to address any questions or concerns you may have.

The DSS office is located on the ground floor of the Student Center.  You may contact the DSS office at (815) 921-2371.

Normal Business hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday (during the fall and spring semesters) and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on Fridays during the summer.

Rock Valley College Scholarships
 

The Rock Valley College Foundation offers a wide variety of scholarships to students attending RVC. Students who submit a scholarship application by the annual deadline will be considered for scholarships, provided all criteria are met. Learn more about RVC scholarships.

  • Contact the scholarship provider for application details and deadlines.
  • Check eligibility requirements for the scholarships you are interested in applying for.
  • Make sure you pay attention to scholarship deadlines and postmark dates.
  • Provide accurate information.
  • Scholarship scams exist. Do not pay any fees to apply for scholarship
