In honor of Women’s History Month, RVC Bookstore will have a selection of books by women authors available in the bookstore beginning March 1st. Enjoy 20% off of these books throughout the month of March.

Thursday, March 7 - Inspiring Vision in Others Panel Discussion

12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Student Center Atrium

RVC Female Leaders will discuss their experience in developing a vision in their work and how they have strived to share this work with students and others as a method of empowerment. Panelists will answer 3-4 questions by a moderator and time will be available for question/answers by the audience. Lunch will be served.

Monday, March 18-22 - The Clothesline Project

Student Center Atrium

Visit the Atrium to see an inspiring and evocative collection of t-shirts that honor survivors and victims of intimate violence.

Tuesday, March 19 - Womenspace Meditation

1 to 2 p.m. in Woodward Technology Center Room 1308

Womanspace will be discussing the importance of their work and how they support women in the community. The discussion will be followed by a meditation session.

Thursday, March 21- Women in History Bingo

1:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Come play bingo featuring visionary women in history!

Tuesday, March 26 - Play That Beat

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Student Center Atrium

Play that Beat! Is a song guessing competition. Inspired by the app Shazam, this event will have the contestants guess the titles of powerful female artists, within a time limit for prizes. If you love music and trivia this is a great event to experience! Light refreshments provided.

Thursday, March 28 - Rockford Visionary Woman Guest Speaker

NOON to 2 p.m.
Student Center Atrium

LoRayne Logan will be speaking about her life experiences and how she has been involved in promoting peace and nonviolence in the community. Lunch will be served.
