Engineering Our Future

The Rock Valley College Foundation launched the Engineering Our Future Campaign to support a unique partnership where Northern Illinois University and Rock Valley College have joined forces to offer a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Technology from NIU on the campus of RVC.

Through this unprecedented community and industry integrated program, the NIU/RVC Engineering program is designed to educate, grow, train and retain our region’s best and brightest students and future workforce.

At an all-in price of $40K for four years, this innovative program will offer students an opportunity to attend one of the top 50 ranked engineering programs in the country, while also serving as one of the most affordable engineering programs in the nation!

With NIU and RVC partnering with the advanced manufacturing sector, we are building and growing our local talent pipeline, fostering continued learning, and consistently innovating our own high-tech workforce and industry while ensuring sustainable economic growth for our region.

Through industry supported internships, students will earn while they learn and employers will enjoy the benefit of assessing the talent pool early in our students’ promising engineering careers, thus proving we really are better together.
