UIC: Any Illinois child from birth to age 21 may qualify no-cost for diagnostic services. Specialized Care for Children can help families arrange, coordinate and pay for their child’s specialized medical treatment when the child has an eligible medical condition and certain financial criteria are met. Winnebago County Health Department: The Winnebago County Health Department provides services designed to protect, promote and maintain the health of Winnebago County residents. They offer a variety of wellness and environmental health services to all Winnebago County residents. Programs include Case Management Services, Women Infants and Children (W.I.C.), Travel Immunizations and other immunizations, Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinics, HIV/AID testing and Family Planning Services. Environmental Health Services include investigation of housing and nuisance complaints and inspection of food service establishments, tanning spas, wells and septic. The lead program investigates lead base paint problems in residential housing. Additionally, the health department manages vital records such as birth and death certificates. Laboratory services include water testing and pollen counts.
Women, Infant, Children Program (WIC): WIC provides nutritious supplemental foods, nutrition education and referrals to other health and social care services through the Winnebago Health Department.
VA Primary Care Clinic: Provides integrated primary care medical services, mental health services, physical therapy, clinical pharmacy, podiatry, and women’s health services to veterans living in Winnebago and the surrounding counties.
