Earn a welding certificate in 8 months!
 

The Welding ICAPS program provides interested Adult Education students an opportunity to complete their GED or continue taking ESL classes while taking college courses towards an Industrial Welder Certificate.  This will prepare students to work in an entry-level welding position.

ICAPS students also attend an academic support class where they continue working on their GED and/or ESL work and obtain extra assistance with the college coursework

Financial assistance may be available to qualifying students.

Semester I
 

  • WLD 100 - Introduction to Welding (3 credits)
  • WLD 153 - Arc Welding: Flat/Horizontal (3 credits)
  • WLD 150 - Blueprint for Welders (3 credits)
  • STU 103 - Workplace Ethics (1 credit)
  • Academic Support course
     

Semester II
 

  • WLD 157 - M.I.G. Welding (3 credits)
  • WLD 158 - T.I.G. Welding (3 credits)
  • Academic Support course
