The ICAPS program provides interested Adult Education students an opportunity to complete their GED or continue taking ESL classes while taking college courses or occupational training in order to earn an industry recognized credential. The ICAPS program is a short-term program that helps prepare Adult Education students for employment.
In addition to the unique programming offerings, intense support services are offered to ensure students have the tools needed to complete their studies and be successful in the workforce. A transitions coordinator works with each student, assisting the student with any obstacles that arise.
ICAPS students will attend an academic support class where they continue working on their GED and/or ESL work and obtain extra assistance with the college or occupational training coursework.
Currently we are taking applications for two separate ICAPS programs - IT Network Technician ICAPS and Welding ICAPS.
If you are interested in applying to be part of an ICAPS program please fill out this application.
**Filling out an application does not guarantee a spot in an ICAPS program. ICAPS has a very competitive selection process. Testing may be required in reading, math, and basic computer skills. Once you fill out the application, you will receive a follow-up e-mail or phone call within a couple weeks explaining the next steps.
