The RVC Testing Center serves as the central location on campus for the administration of testing programs and services. Our center is also where prospective students will take the placement test as part of our getting started process. We provide professional, accessible testing services in a secure and appropriate environment.
If you plan to enroll in credit classes at RVC you are first required to meet placement requirements in the areas of Reading, English, and Math. Can't make it to campus to test?
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a national program of credit by examination that gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know.
Most online and make-up exams are administered on a walk-in basis. Learn more about our guidelines for these exams.

Can't make it to your campus for placement testing?
CHOOSE Next-Generation Practice Tests. This web-based study app features practice tests in Arithmetic, Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra and Statistics (QAS), Advanced Algebra and Functions (AAF), Reading, and Writing. It’s accessible from any Internet-capable computer, and it will help you become familiar with the content and format of the ACCUPLACER test questions.
Rock Valley College is a Participant in the NCTA Consortium of College Testing Centers.
Photo ID is required for all testing programs and services.

Thursday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Select Saturdays*: 8 a.m. - 12 noon
