The Testing Center serves as the central location for the administration of testing programs and services offered at Rock Valley College. The Testing Center provides several types of testing: instructional testing for RVC students, testing for community residents enrolled in other colleges/universities, accommodated testing for students with disabilities, and other types of certification and program admission testing.
A photo ID is required for all testing.
Any students with a disability who receive accommodations for testing need to call the Testing Center at 815-921-2385 or email email@example.com to schedule an appointment.
Please Note: Testing Center hours are subject to change between academic semesters, breaks, and summer.
ACCUPLACER/Placement Testing is not being administered. Students may use the Guided Self-Placement procedures to determine their first English, reading and mathematics course at RVC. If none of those placement methods provide sufficient placement, the College is deferring placement testing during the COVID-19 health crisis. For information on the deferment form and placement testing updates, please check out our Placement Requirements.
If you plan to enroll in credit classes at RVC, you are first required to review current placement requirements.
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a national program of credit by examination that gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know.
Rock Valley College is a Participant in the NCTA Consortium of College Testing Centers.
Photo ID is required for all testing programs and services.
